We organize and participate in race events in Vancouver as well as travel to many North American skating events including marathons. We do interval training and basic skills and drills to improve skating ability on Tuesday evenings at 5:30 interval and skills training in Steveston, exit off highway 99 at Steveston exit, go thru 5 Rd. light and turn next left, Coppersmith Rd., proceed to end of street and into parking lot, see CISL 650 radio sign 2 km lap course, great pavement and a very good workout.Sunday mornings 9:30 AM in Richmond, meeting under the Arthur Laing bridge, exit Templeton and then right on Grauer Rd. on the way to the airport. On this skate we work on technique, endurance, race strategy, pack and cadence training. We skate to Iona Park and back, 15k laps. Many different levels of skating so please dont think you have to be a speed demon or a turbo Torrent Once a month we stage a 10 k race in Richmond off of Steveston and 5 Rd. There are also many other skating opportunities and fun skating throughout the summer.
