Although the meeting itself is professionally managed, the organisation has kept its friendly homely nature, and athletes feel at home. The meeting itself is strongly supported by the local people of ZandvoordeOstend. Some of the athletes are staying with Belgian families during the three day event, or are being transferred to hotels in the city of Ostend. In 2000 we elcomed over 230 foreign athletes from all over Europe Denmark, Germany, GreatBrittain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands, USA ..... In 2001 this number has risen to more than 250 foreign athletes from all over the world. 2002 was a magical year as all the big guns were eager to try out the track with the World Championships just days away.
